So, it’s the early hours of Wednesday 14th June at 01:34am and I have just flown back from Sydney, Australia to the United Kingdom. For those of you who follow my blog or are new to my site today, I have just spent nine months living, working and travelling over the other side of the world in New Zealand with my boyfriend Dave. Together, we made the decision to come home three months early, as the unfortunate expense of living and socialising in New Zealand was becoming a struggle.
I absolutely loved my time in New Zealand, we spent five months in the North Island and four months in the South. We’ve seen beautiful locations, experienced three weather seasons, learnt the lingo, met wonderful kiwi’s, had adventure activities and engaged with a kiwi life. But for now, I’m home and I need to try and get settled.
I spent six months in the United States before New Zealand, and now I’m thinking I would like to spend some time in Canada. But until then, I need to find a job back home, insure my car, unpack my suitcase and try to live a normal life. How long will it last? Who knows? I have no idea, I think a part of me will always want to travel.
BUT. I can say this, I can’t wait to go to ASDA supermarket tomorrow and not worry about the price of milk, bread, butter, and alcohol. As much as I have loved my time in New Zealand, it is incredibly expensive to live out there.
That’s it for now, I will continue writing my blog posts about my adventures in New Zealand and my time in Australia as I have so much to share with you. And I will also write new post about life back home in the UK, living out of a wardrobe and not a suitcase.
Thank you, bye for now. 🙂 Sadie.
