Location: Abel Tasman National Park, Kaiteriteri, South Island, New Zealand.
Split Apple Rock has been on my bucket list since I arrived in New Zealand, back in September. The geological rock formation is found in the Tasman Bay Sea, in the northern coast of New Zealand’s South Island. Shaped like an apple, which has been cut in half.
Split Apple Rock is about a hour’s drive from the town of Nelson. The drive itself is beautiful and the beach where Split Apple Rock is located is stunning. Hidden away on a sandy shore, you can access the boulder via foot, kayak, boat or you can swim out to it.
Don’t miss out on this. Take your camera and enjoy one of New Zealand’s natural mysteries. It will not disappoint, I am very pleased to cross this one of my bucket list.
P.S- All photos are my own, enjoy 🙂
